CBI Front mounted/Rear connected MCBs “CBEs”

In Europe, when someone think about a circuit breaker, it is normally a grey colored device which is mounted on a DIN rail with connections to line and load at the top and bottom.  It does not need to be that way. In some applications the DIN rail concept is not suitable and that is where the CBE products come in. CBE stands for “Circuit Breaker for Equipment” and that is a range of circuit breakers that are developed to be mounted in a front plate instead of a DIN rail. The connections to line and load is normally on the back to save installation space.

CBIs CBE family has solutions from 0,1A up to 400A. As all the other CBI MCB solutions they designed based on the Hydraulic-Magnetic principle. Thanks to this you do not need to worry about high or low ambient temperatures. The circuit breaker will always keep the rated current, without nuisance tripping regardless if the temperature in your application is +85 or –40 degrees C.

Also the CBE products are built and tested to the voltage it should be used for. That means, if you have a DC voltage you get a product purpose built for that, as well electrical performance, marking and 3rd party approvals.

Unique feature for all CBI CBE ranges is extremely good tolerances to shock and vibration compared to traditional rail mounted MCBs.
