QY13mm DC MCB for up to 125VDC 0,1-200A

QY13 is a circuit breaker developed for being a DC product. To safely operate a DC voltage is different from operating an AC voltage. QY range is therefore a dedicated DC circuit breaker with correct marking and relevant DC approvals. Compared to traditional thermal magnetic MCBs we can highlight the following unique features: QY13 keep rated current regardless of ambient temperature. If you have a challenge with high ambient temperatures in your equipment you can rely on that QY13 always keep the rated current. I.e. no de-rating is needed. Like all our Hydraulic-Magnetic circuit breakers it is designed and certified to be loaded at 100% of rated current continuously. QY13 is built with 13 mm modular width instead of 18 mm as a traditional MCB. This means > 30% more distribution points in the same space. Purpose built to work with DC voltages.

These unique features has made the QY range to a very popular MCB for usage in for instance telecom applications. 

 

QY range can be delivered up to 200A rated current as follows: 

  • Up to 63A – 1 x 13 mm 
  • 80-100A – 2 x 13 mm  
  • 125-150A – 3 x 13 mm 
  • 200A – 4 x13 mm 

All paralleled units (>63A) are factory built and tested to the rated current before dispatch. This means that no paralleling of single pole units needs to be done in the field based on vague calculations and with the risk of uneven current split between the poles. 

 

QY13 can be delivered with factory fitted accessories such as auxiliary and trip alarm contact as well as  trip coil that can be used to switch off the circuit breaker remotely. See our datasheet for further details. 

Just as the rest of the Q-range, QY13 can be delivered in both grey version with 45 mm front escutcheon and black version with 57 mm front escutcheon. 

QY is third party approved to IEC 60947-2 and UL listed as branch circuit protection according to UL489A. Breaking capacity is 10kA.
